HOW THE AUDIOCAST WORKS
Accessing Your Class on ilinc.com
When you register and pay for one or more of our courses, you will receive a confirmation email from ISE, ‘Course Reservation Confirmation’.
You will receive a confirmation for each course, which will have your course title, the date.
The confirmation will have ‘Your Personal Join Link’ in blue on it with the day and time of the class. You will click on this link to join the class . Don’t lose this Confirmation!
We recommend that you prepare your computer on the iLinc system configuration link in blue below the ‘Join’ link (Want To Prepare Your System Ahead of Time?) before the class, to ensure that your computer is compatible with the class software. If you have any problems preparing your computer, call iLinc Tech Support at 800-799-4510 (press option 1).
During the class, you will see PowerPoint slides and hear audio commentary from your mentor.
To be able to verbally interact with your mentor, you must have a microphone/headset combination plugged into your USB (Upper Sideband) port of your desktop or laptop.
Your mentor will mute all students before the beginning of the class, but a student may be unmuted by the mentor through the ‘raised hand’ icon on the top left of your screen. If you click on the hand, and the mentor will recognize you.
Otherwise, if you are listening through speakers only, you may contact your instructor through the public ‘chat’ system in your classroom. You will see the public discussion area at the bottom left of your screen, with the email section at the bottom. To send an email, press the arrow to the right of the email section. Your email will be visible to all in the section below the mentor’s picture.
Accessing Archived Classes Through The ISE Site
When you buy a class, you will get a welcoming email from ISE, thanking you for your purchase and giving you a password to go with your email login that you originally used when purchasing the course.
If you lose your password, you may request another through the ISE web site, using ‘Forgot Your Password?’
At the end of the ‘live’ class, for the next 14 days, you can retrieve the class from the ISE archives by entering your email login and password on the ISE site, which will take you to our ‘START’ page. You then click on the ‘GO TO ARCHIVED CLASS’. You will then be presented the slides and recording of the class that you attended.
As a reminder, the archived file from the ISE web site may not be downloaded.
